On February 12, 2024, 95 students from classes 5 and 6 embarked on an exciting journey to the New Delhi World Book Fair. The fair, bustling with activity, presented an array of stalls by famous publishers such as Harper Collins, Penguin Random House, Macmillan, and Sage Publications, showcasing literary treasures from around the world.
Students eagerly browsed through the diverse selection of books, from classic to contemporary bestsellers. Some of the books that students purchased included, ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher,’ ‘The Diary of a Young Girl,’ ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘Wonder.’
Amidst the exploration, the students attended a captivating storytelling session led by noted storyteller, Amrit Nagpal, followed by an engaging activity.
The visit not only ignited their passion for reading but also nurtured their creativity and imagination. As they left the fairgrounds, clutching new found treasures, the students expressed gratitude for the enriching experience and eagerly looked forward to future literary adventures.
