Classes 7-9 watch an Olympic movie marathon
A field trip to the India International Centre was undertaken on October 11, 2023, by 40 students of classes VII-IX and two teachers. This main purpose of the excursion was to watch movies that highlighted the challenges faced by Olympians and their greatest triumphs as depicted in real-life situations.
The pupils were delighted as the group arrived at the India International Centre. The films selected for this educational experience highlighted the motivational biographies of PT Usha, Gagan Narang, Vijay Kumar, Abhinav Bindra, and Rani Rampal, focusing on the struggles they faced and the amazing feats they attained.
The students were greatly motivated by the movie screening. The devotion, perseverance, and effort demonstrated by the Olympians not only entertained the students but also inspired them to ignite their own ambitions to succeed in their chosen disciplines.
After the movie marathon, the students and teachers had an insightful conversation about the value of persistence, self-control, and resolve in accomplishing one’s goals. The students had a chance to discuss their opinions and key lessons from the films during this interactive session.
The informative trip to view the films chronicling Olympians’ lives was a tremendous success. The pupils’ perspectives were expanded, and it also made a long-lasting impression on them. The experience reminded them that they, too, can fulfil their dreams with effort, tenacity, and dedication.
