Classes 9-11 learn about AI and Cyber Crime from an expert.
On 3 July 2026, a workshop on "AI and Cyber Crime: Emerging Threats, Digital Defense and Future Security" was organised for the students of Classes IX–XII. The session was conducted by Mr Swapan Rajdev, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Co-founder of Haptik.
Mr Rajdev highlighted how Artificial Intelligence has become an integral part of everyday life while also creating new challenges in cyber security. Through real-life examples of AI-generated images, fake conversations, and online scams, he explained how cybercriminals exploit technology to deceive people. Students learned to identify common warning signs of scams, verify information before trusting it, and practise safe online behaviour.
The workshop also introduced students to emerging cyber security concepts such as prompt injection and AI jailbreaking, while encouraging ethical learning through platforms like picoCTF. Practical cyber safety measures—including using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, protecting personal information, avoiding suspicious links, and verifying urgent requests—were emphasised.
The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, where students actively participated and clarified their doubts. Overall, the workshop provided valuable insights into emerging cyber threats, the role of AI in digital defence, and the importance of becoming responsible and vigilant digital citizens.
