Ankur Bajaj, Karan Kalra, Anmol Nangia, Anoushka Bakshi and Ashmeet Singh, all students of XII Commerce, won the RUNNERs UP trophy for their far-reaching and vibrant performance in 'Lets face it', an event of the Commerce Conclave held at Gyan Bharati School on Saturday, April 26, 2014.
This year's theme of the conclave, attended by around 15 top schools of Delhi like Modern School, Barakhamba Road, amongst others was YOUTH WINS, SOCIETY GAINS. The topic chosen by our School team for it's dramatised presentation was Caron ki bohotai hai, buson mein kya burai hai, lighten lakh jalayi hain, phir kehte ho mehangai hai, pani yuhi behta jaye tabhi toh kilat chayi hai, janta ki shamat aayi hai par kya kaaran kewal mehangai hai.
Our team won accolades for offering solutions for fighting inflation in a short drama which had shades of humour, aggression, concern and passion for bringing a change. The skit was composed and directed by the students themselves.
The event consisted of three different competitions, namely, LETS FACE IT ( DRAMATISED PRESENTATION OF TOPICS RELATED TO BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS), INQUIZITIVE (QUIZ) AND LOGONISATION ( RANGOLI OF LOGO AND TAGLINE).
Mahima Batheja and Harshul Chugh, XII Commerce reached the final round of the business and economics quiz and took 4th position.
Riya Kohli, Akanksha Vashisht and Ojasvi Jain, XII Commerce were exceptionally good at the
rangoli competition in which they used paints to make a logo, showing a laptop cum mobile manufactured by a joint venture between Vodafone and Airtel! Their idea- AIRFONE with the tagline- 'The connection that doesn't lose touch' was greatly appreciated by everyone.
