We all know that 'knowledge is power'. Unfortunately, the source of knowledge for most of our students is restricted only to what is printed in their text books. In order to sharpen the knowledge base, Ms. Komal Hotchandani collaborated with the famous publishing house M/s. Sultan Chand and Sons to organise an interactive session with eminent authors, Dr. G.S. Grewal and Mr. R.K. Khosla whose books are referred to by every commerce student. This interactive session was organised for classes 11 and 12.
Dr. G.S. Grewal is the author of text books on accountancy which are recommended by almost every school for their students. He is also Member of the Projects Development Group (Accountancy), NCERT and the Teachers Training Committee, NCERT.
[gallery link="file"]Mr. R.K. Khosla has a teaching experience of over 40 years. He is a faculty member of the North India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and was also formerly a faculty member at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
The session started at 10: 45 am and continued till 1: 15 pm.
It was an enriching session where both the authors briefed our children about the various amendments in the subject and discussed in detail how to prepare for the board examinations. Students had a lot of questions too which were patiently answered by them. Students felt truly blessed to get their doubts cleared by authors whose books they refer to!
Overall, it was a wonderful session. Interacting with authors whose books you always refer to is like a dream come true for our young students. Knowledge imparted by them is second to none. It makes the students pick up valuable practical tips which are not given in any text book and will definitely help our students perform better in their examinations.
