Community Outreach - visit to the Blind School
It was a Saturday morning and we the children of class VIII headed out for the Andh Vidhyalaya at Amar Colony alongwith our teachers, Ms. Sandhya Batheja and Mr. Tara Chand.
At the entrance we noticed a group of children, inmates there, singing the national anthem very soulfully. Soon they finished and proceeded to their classrooms, carefully guiding each other. We were touched to observe the spirit of care and compassion between them all. We had carried some sweets and waited to share them!

We joined the children in their classes and watched in wonder as they learned to read Braille. We were even shown a a Braille watch! Infact they wrote for us and we came back and pasted the memento on our class board! It was a great pleasure just chatting talking with them. They were so young and yet seemed so strong in their outlook. I realised how little I value what I have.
I look forward to going again. .
