Constitution Day activities

Constitution Day also known as 'Samvidhan Divas', is celebrated in our country on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect on 26 January 1950.

As a part of the celebrations, our School planned innovative activities to highlight and reiterate the values and principles enshrined in the constitution.

An important part of the celebrations was the reading of the Preamble and reaffirming our commitment to uphold it. Students and teachers read the Preamble at 11am on 26 November 2020 in their respective locations.

A peer teaching-learning activity was conducted on the occasion, where 20 students of class 10 interacted with the students of class 5 upwards and spoke about the values and fundamental principles of our constitution. They shared a power point presentation to explain the enduring and invaluable rights and duties of citizens as envisioned by our founding fathers.

The day served as a reminder to live by and promote these timeless values in our communities.
