DOE Centre Level Science Exhibition

The Centre Level Science Exhibition was held between 28 and 30th November, 2017 at the Govt. Co. Ed Senior Secondary School, R.K Puram Sector 5. The theme of the exhibition was Innovations for Sustainable Development and it was organised by the Directorate of Education (NCT, Delhi). Schools from 8 zones participated in the event.

The exhibition was adjudged in various categories such as health and well-being, resource management and food security, waste management and water body conservation, transport and communication, digital and technological solutions, mathematical concepts and SUPW.

The Indian School participated in the Health and Well-being category. Dhriti Chatterjee and Omkar Khurana of class X-A participated in the event under the guidance of Ms. Ritu Mehndiratta. They demonstrated a a mechanism of antibiotic resistance in a bacterial cell. The working model showed how an antibiotic acts on a cell and how its resistance develops. The model was selected from the South Zone for the Centre Level Competition.

It was an enriching experience where students showcased their creativity and innovative designs based on different themes.
