English Language Meet at Junior Modern School
Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School organised the Twelfth English Language Meet on 12th November, 2014.
A well-attended and well- annual event with several top schools of Delhi vying to win.
The Meet aimed to promote the linguistic and creative potential of primary students with various competitions.
The students participated in four different events held simultaneously at four venues in the school. The competitions were
Enactment, Puzzle-Me-Out, Declamation and 'Its my life'.
The participants of
Enactment were Navyukta Bist and Keshav Gupta from class IV , Aryan Chawla and Anushka Saxena from class V. The participants of Enactment performed a play based on idioms.
The participants of
Puzzle-Me-Out were Ananya Sundersen from class IV and Samiksha Nair from class V. Puzzle-me-out was fun, yet a challenging activity for the students where they had to solve puzzles based on vocabulary.
The participant of the
Declamation ( The wise act, the otherwise react) was Gurmeher Longani from class V.
The participant of
'Its my life was Samaara Ravish from class V. 'Its my life' was a written task where the participants had to write an autobiographical piece on the topics given.
Gurmeher and Samaara won accolades for our School when they were declared the winners of the
Declamation and Autobiographical writing - Its my life events! Congrats to you both!
It was a proud moment for our students and their teachers.
The day ended on a high note, instilling new confidence in our children and proving that our students are indeed ocean liners.
