English Language Meet, classes IV and V

For a hands-on experience on how English language can stimulate the thought process and personal development, students of our School participated in great enthusiasm in the 11th English Language Meet organized at Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School on 29 January, 2014. 6 students from classes IV and V participated in various categories at the event.

Vedanshi Sagar of VE and Sameeksha Nair of IVC participated in Tell a Tale, displaying noteworthy confidence narrating the story The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein on stage.

The second category was The Literary Quiz which had participation by Ryan Suri of VE and Chhanak Dang of IVA. Students were given the challenge of working out language- related puzzle exercises and also answer questions based on popular fables, classics and contemporary stories.

The third category was The Hidden Treasure where Srinjoy Mukherjee of V B answered a series of factual, inferential and extrapolative questions based on an unseen passage given to him and was assessed first runner-up based on his inferential aptitude, analytical skill and written expression.

The last category was Imagine That where Aadrita Goswamy of IVA crafted a story using the clues given.

It was a comprehensive learning experience for our students from preparation to participation in the event.
