Accompanied by their teachers, the children of class III went on an educational excursion to the Indira Gandhi Memorial on 27 January, 2017.
The students were briefed
about the museum in the classroom before the visit. They were, therefore, already familiar with Mrs. Indira Gandhi and the history associated with her, when they arrived at the venue.
As the children were led around the exhibits, the teachers explained the exhibits. They learnt about Mrs. Gandhi's accomplishments as a ling- serving former prime minister through the many photographs they saw. Finally, they were shown a shortfilm on her life of Mrs. Gandhi which they were immensely curious about.
Soon, it was time to return, but not without a stop-over at the park next door, to savour the inviting contents of our tiffins! Once back, the teachers did a quick recap of the excursion. and even quizzed the children to see if they recollected what they had been shown. There were several spontaneous volunteers! It had been an interesting morning of edutainment.
