EXUN 2013- Inter-school computer symposium

EXUN, the computer club of Delhi Public School R. K. Puram organized it's 18th annual inter-school IT Symposium on 30 November and 1 December, 2013. EXUN is one of the older and prestigious computer clubs in Delhi, having started in 1992. This year EXUN added another feather to it's cap by expanding to include creative events based on photography. These were te presentation of the schools photography club, DIGEX. We reached the host School at 8.30 am and then proceeded to the AV Hall to join the other invitee- schools. Almost 60 schools from across Delhi and NCR participated in the event. Dr. Alok Bhardwaj, Executive VP, Cannon India was the guest of honour at the opening ceremony. Our students participated in the following events: Junior Quiz : Pulkit Goyal (IX-B), Prakhar Gupta (X-B) This was a cryptic quiz based on computers and technology. Creative Event : Shlok Tyagi (X-B), Piyush Nanwani (X-B), Harshul Chugh (XI-B) The teams web-designing and digital imaging skills were challenged in this event. Notepad++, Subline Text 2 and Photoshop CS 3 were provided by the organisers to the participants. Crossword : Mayank Wadhwani (X- B) , Tabish Hussain (IX- A) This was again based computers and technology. Gaming : Yash Sharma (X- C) , Aashrey (X- C) Details of rounds and format were declared on the spot. Participants skills were challenged in all types of computer and video games. Photo Run : Dhruvi Agarwal (X- A) Teams were to carry their cameras and accessories. They were given 3 different topics one after another in seperate time slots within which the photographs were to be clicked. Our students returned extremely enthused by the enrichment.
