Fathers Day Celebration, Pre-primary

The Pre-primary children celebrated Fathers day on 6 April13 in the School auditorium. Our Head Teacher Mrs Vinita Roy welcomed all our dear fathers with a poem

"A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again.

A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead let's you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt.

A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail..."

The Pre-primary choir sang out fathers day songs with heartwarming expression to reach out to make their fathers feel special. The respective class teachers were also individually introduced and they invited the willing fathers on stage to share their thoughts with the rest. Some fathers spontaneously articulated their special sentiments on how they bond with their children and what is best about it. The individual examples were both delightful and insightful. Several fathers also spoke about how much they appreciated that our School makes the time with occasions such as this, to foster the importance of relationships and family values.

A game was specially set up for the father-child duo, where a song was played from from the fathers' generation and then a rhyme from the new generation, by turn on the synthesizer. The father-child duo had to guess and then sing aloud the same. Before the game, the instructions were explained and a sample piece was also played. The enthusiasm was electric as the contestants made a keen pitch! Every time a piece was played out, many voices rang out to offer the answer! Alas only the winners took the gifts!

Next it was time for the children to help serve their fathers refreshments. Even as their teaches guided them, the children were very motivated and determined to make justice with the job. They bent to offer and explained what they were offering, even as they spooned the same on the fathers' plates! They also went around sprightly offering seconds.
