Force Fest 2015
Force Fest 2015 held at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai on 26th August 2015 showcased the knowledge of participants in IT. 20 schools participated and 10 students of our School participated in the various events of the competition. The events were held in different domains which were:-
Sub Junior:- Classes III-V
Junior:- Classes VI-VIII
Senior :- Classes IX-XII
Open: - All classes VI and above.
The various events were:-
1. Cyber Maniac: Samarth Saxena and Gitansh Arora of class IX participated in this challenging quiz event which was based on questions on IT facts and terminologies like Name the language which is based on OOPs concept , Name the company which introduced the GUI platform. The event was held in the senior domain and the time allotted for this event was 30 minutes.
2. Cyber Code:- Sahil Grover and Jatin Sethi of class XII participated in this programming event which required coding the difficult programmes using software such as Sublime Text 3, C++. The event was held in the senior domain and the event duration was of 90 minutes. The students had a hard time cracking the code given to them!
3. Cyber Wars:- Ranveer and Gurmeher of class IX participated in this fun and challenging gaming event where peripherals such as controllers, gaming pad and headphones were allowed and the games were to be played on any console. The event was held in the open domain. The event was not bound to any time limit as any one team which beat the other teams and finished the game first was the winner.
4. Cyber Media:- Akarsh Ahuja of class IX and Karandeep Kapoor of class X participated in this visual and audio event where the participants made a video using software such as Adobe master suite CS 6 , Sony Vegas, and also listened to an audio and synchronized it using software such as Virtual DJ, FL Studio. The event was held in the open domain and the time allotted for this event was 180 minutes. The songs belonged to the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) genre. Both our students had a great time mixing the various sound tracks and combining them into a single track.
5. Cyber Jingle:- In this event, the participant had to dress and pose as a modern day gadget and articulate their impact on day to day life. Pratham Goel of class III dressed up as an I-pad and ably sang a song about it! The event was held in the sub-junior domain and the time allotted for this event was 3 minutes per participant.
6. Cyber Logo:- An MS LOGO contest in which Yahvi Rishi of class IV participated. The participant had to apply the challenging commands using the little turtle of MS-Logo. The event was held in the sub-junior domain and the time allotted for this event was 120 minutes
All the participants from our School performed very confidently and offered their best. The competition was indeed a fun learning experience.
