Two students Avani Mathur of V-B and Siddharth Khati of IV-B participated in the 24th Don Bosco School Fr. Thomas Memorial Quiz on Tuesday 28th July, 2015. This inter-school quiz was conducted exclusively for students of classes IV and V.
The programme commenced with a group rendition of a Hindi prayer, by the host school. Members of the school management, the PTA representatives and the quiz coordinators lighted the lamp and thereafter Principal, Fr. Babu Varghese of Don Bosco School declared the quiz open. The duration of the event was from 8:30 am to 12:30 p.m.
[gallery link="file"]The quiz comprised of a preliminary written test where eight top teams were shortlisted. This was followed by various interesting as well as challenging rounds consisting of questions relating to literature, current affairs, science, sports, music and many more. The Quiz Master kept the participants on their toes with mind-boggling rounds! The eliminated teams were also welcome to participate in rounds held especially for them and avail of opportunities to win attractive prizes.
It was heart-warming to see our children brimming with enthusiasm and exuberance as they vied with the others to answer questions that required explanation and reasoning.
The participants as well as the audience thoroughly enjoyed these rounds that gave all an opportunity to enrich their knowledge and to develop well-informed personalities.
