Graduation Ceremony for class 12, Batch of 2023-24
The Indian School held the customary Graduation Day for the class XII Science students on 19 January 2024 at 4 pm in the School auditorium. The event was graced by Dr Mrs Nayana Goradia, esteemed member of the School Managing Committee.
The poignant ceremony commenced with the resplendant academic procession led by Principal, Ms Tania Joshi. The procession included all the teachers of the School carrying a lighted diya symbolising the light of knowledge. This was followed by the Ganesh Vandana by the School choir and graceful dance performance.
The Principal addressed the parents gathered to attend the ceremony and blessed the graduating students. Each student was presented with a School folder and a personalised citation as well as a directory of the Batch 2023-24.
The memories of their school life were revisited with a beautiful Powerpoint album of old photographs capturing unforgettable memories of their school life. The atmosphere was charged with mixed motions- the pangs of parting from their beloved School on the one hand and the anticipation of a new future on the other. Tears of happiness and pain seemed to line every eye in the audience.
The ceremony concluded as the students lit their diyas from the happy flames of those held by their teachers. Everone then collected to sing the School song for the last time together.
The light of learning had truly been transferred and each child was now ready to step out, to light up his or her own world therein. The circle was complete.
