Heady and Humbling. The experience of becoming junior council members, class 5.

The formation of the council as in the past has been a very careful and exhaustive process especially because the children are younger and it is their first time.

All the students of class 5 were closely observed for talent, leadership, academic achievement and conduct. The primary school faculty nominated candidates for the council and then students of grade 5 and their teachers voted to elect candidates to the coveted positions.

The selected candidates then interacted with their Head Teacher, Ms. Neena Maini and Principal, Ms. Rashi Narula. In pride and in the spirit of responsibility, the students listened and assimilated what they were told. They were reminded that they must always remember that they will be role models for the primary school and that they must learn to motivate the others, to listen, to lever and thus leadhe needless to say, the brand new team members were brimming with confidence and enthusiasm to shoulder their new duties.

The students of the council also described their feelings on having achieved what they did; how heady they felt and yet humbled by the height, as it were.
