Health and Hygiene workshop for classes 5-9
On 16 January 2024, The Indian School hosted a Body Awareness Education Programme for the students of classes V to IX. This initiative sought to empower our female students with vital knowledge concerning the female anatomy, the working of the reproductive system, puberty, personal hygiene and menstruation. The curriculum, thoughtfully designed, aimed to foster a comprehensive understanding of these crucial aspects. The programme emphasised the significance of maintaining personal hygiene, particularly during menstruation, and provided practical advice on choosing the right sanitary pads. The distribution of sample Whisper pads allowed students to experience the product firsthand. Beyond imparting information, this initiative underscores the commitment of our School towards holistic education, ensuring that our girls not only gain essential knowledge but also develop a positive attitude towards self-care and body awareness.
