Honour at inter school art competition
A team of six talented art students of The Indian School participated in Kalavrind, an inter-school on-the-spot art competition organised by Delhi Police Public School, Safdarjung Enclave on 17 December 2022. Ms Parul Singh, junior art teacher at our School, escorted the enthusiastic team.
The event saw the participation of more than 100 students of classes I-XII from 35 prominent Delhi- NCR schools. The competition invited participation in five groups, formed class-wise.
In Group 1, for classes I and II, Kritika (2 E) and Kavya (2 D) showcased their artistic prowess on topics: Me and My Toy, My Favourite Cartoon and A Garden Scene. Kritika won the Third Prize for her entry which depicted a vibrant garden scene coloured with oil pastels.
In Group 2, for classes III-V, the young artists had to create an artwork based on one of the given themes: Our Soldiers, Our Pride, My Favourite Sport and
any Festival. Suhina Das (4C) represented School in this category.
In Group 3, for classes VI-VIII, themes like My City Traffic, a Festival Procession and an Evening With My Friends, offered an opportunity for the students to demonstrate their creativity. Oishee Haldar (8 B) and Rishika (8 C) submitted vibrant entries in this category.
In Group 4, for classes IX-X, students made posters on the following social themes: Against Corruption, Indian Heritage, and Energy Conservation and Nature. Roopkatha Bandyopadhyay (9 D) made an informative poster showcasing Indian Heritage.
The students exuded confidence as their colourful strokes brought their beautiful thoughts and ideas to life on paper.
