Honour at inter school TAPS FEST at Army Public School

Students of The Indian School, primary, middle and senior level participated in atwo-day inter school event organised by The Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, on 22 and 23August 2019. Around 40 Schools of Delhi-NCR participated in the mega event.

On Day One, 35 students participated in various events which included Warliomache-an art event in which students had to create a warli painting on any paper mache object. Katha Sethu and Bahurang were the two events which tested students knowledge of Hindi, thelanguage.

Symposia was an English event, where participants were required to present a success story which invoked/ awakened greatness within oneself, in the form of a presentation. In Spin a Yarn, participants had to spin a story in English, based on an object provided to them. Elysian-The Canvas of Life was performed by our brilliant dancers on the theme Organusing contemporary and classical styles of dance.

The event named D3-Deliberate, Debate, Discuss was based on topics related to the world as well as the Indian economy, where the participant was given a minute to introduce the topic followed by a group discussion. In Unexplored Dimensions, a team of two students had to create 3-dimensional tribal artworkwith Shilpkaar clay on canvas. Virtual Warriors and Digi Vertising were events related to computers where participants were given any random object on the spot and had to click pictures to incorporate in the design of an advertisement using Photoshop software.

Protmusis: the weakest link- chemistry quiz consisted of two preliminary and three finalrounds. In the final rounds each team took turns to answer the questions, to create chainsof correct answers in a row. At the end of each final round, the weakest link team was votedout. Here our Vismay Chadha, Hargun Singh from XII A and Varun Chopra from XI A bagged the Second position.

On the second day, 22 students participated in events like Symphony Synthesis- awestern music event and Quiz Craft- a social science event. Events like Thats What They Tweeted, Devils Advocate, Thrones: The Endgame were events which tested language skills of students.

In Elfin Beauties, participants recreated a classical miniature painting from the 17th -18th centuries, as a modern rendition of a classical masterpiece. Webbed, Crypto Mania and Power to Point were computer events where participants were tested on their MS power point skills and creating a full working website using CSS and JavaScript.

The two-day event served as a platform for students to compete and showcase their skills at diverse events. At the end, all received certificates of participation.
