Honour at Sanskriti School drama event

On 30 July 2024, students of The Indian School participated in ‘Stagekraft 2024-25’,  hosted by Sanskriti School. The day began with an enchanting performance by the host School choir, setting a harmonious tone for the proceedings. Following this, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the official start of the event.

The programme continued with a comprehensive introduction to the competitions, including Vaad-Vivaad, Kaun Banega Shiromani, Turncoat, and Sanskraft. Detailed explanations of the events and rules and regulations were read out to ensure that all participants were well prepared.

The competitions commenced after the opening ceremony and concluded at noon. During this period, students showcased their talent in stages, demonstrating impressive skills and creativity. The judges offered valuable feedback, providing participants with insights to enhance their future performances.

The closing ceremony was marked by the recitation of a powerful poem in Hindi by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, alongside impactful quotes that resonated with the audience. Samiya Khurana of XA was adjudged Second Best Actor for her role as narrator in the play which linked the theme of Kafka's "The Metamorphosis" to contemporary issues faced by teenagers and young adults. It was an enlightening and inspiring experience for the students.
