Honour at StageKraft-2018- inter school competition at Sanskriti School

On 12th May 2018, a group of 31 students of our School participated in StageKraft, an inter-school competition hosted by Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri. The event boasted of competition in several categories: short play, nukkad natak, choreography ,sansadiya vaad-vivaad (Hindi debate), English debate, and stand-up comedy, both in Hindi and English, Ms. Shuchismita Chatterjee, Madhav sir and Ms. Sunita Singh, teachers of the music, dance and drama departments accompanied the participants.

[gallery link="file" order="DESC"] In the Hindi short play category, our talented artists picked the challenging theme Devil was once an angel and showcased Mantharas transformation from an angel to a devil. In the categories of Hindi stand-up comedy and nukkad natak, we performed on the topics Hamari Shiksha Pranali and Media Ka Rajnitikaran, respectively. The young actors performances drew applause and appreciation from the audience. The topic for the debate in English was based on the Info slide: A sunset clause is a legal measure that provides that the law in which it is contained shall expire after a specific date, unless further action is taken to extend it. Our keen debater spoke on the motion. In the choreography category, our performance was based on the theme Myths, Mythology and Legends ". We choreographed the famous Dice scene, followed by Draupadi cheer haran, both inspired from the Mahabharat. The theme was depicted within a time limit of five minutes! Our entry was based on a fusion of the Chhau and contemporary dance. The performance was highly appreciated by both judges and the audience. The team won the third prize for their moving performance. Some schools that participated in this competition were Shri Ram School (Aravalli), DPS (R K Puram), DPS (Noida), St. Columbas School, GD Goenka Public School (Vasant Vihar), Tagore International (Vasant Vihar), Blue Bells School International, and others. The members of the winning team for best choreography are Ryan Suri (X), Vedant Gupta (X), Sancia Dubey (X), Jivjyot Singh (X), Vamani Gupta (XI), Dhriti Chatterjee (XI), Kunal Vinayak (XI), Nitansh Anand (XI), Anjale Minocha (XII) and Khushi Sharma (XII).
