Honours at Commerce Olympiad held by the ICAI

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organised a Commerce Olympiad on 8 January 2023 on an online platform. The event witnessed countrywide participation from the students of classes XI and XII. Our School team comprising Aditya Prasad Sahu XII C, Pavani Agarwal XI C and Shamit Sharma XI C, also ook part with enthusiasm and zeal.

The quiz consisted of two rounds, with the first round consisting of 80 questions that were to be completed within an hour. The first round was divided into four sections- Aptitude, Business Studies, Accountancy and Economics. The questions were designed to test the students knowledge in these subjects and to identify the best among the participants.

After the first round, only 10% of the students who appeared for the first round qualified for the second, which was held on 29 January. The second round was more challenging, with questions that tested the students ability to think critically and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios. The second round was AI proctored.

Our students, Aditya Prasad Sahu XII-C, Pavani Agarwal and Shamit Sharma of XI-C, were awarded the Consolation Prize and cash prizes of Rs 1000/- each for their good performance. Overall, it was a great learning experience for the students.
