The first ever Delhi State U-14 Futsal Championship was held at The British School, Chanakyapuri on 2nd and 3rd December, 2017. The tournament was organised by the Delhi Futsal Association.
10 teams from different schools participated in this grand event which was an all girls tournament. The Indian School secured the third place in the tournament.
The Indian School football team comprised of 10 members. These were Ria Arora (9- C), Aarushi Anand (9-C), Aashi Gupta (9-D), Ragini Bali (9-B), Nanditaq Khati (9-E), Gunjan Ahand (9-B), Shreya Palit (9-B), Vedita Srivastava (9-D), Vanshika Raheja (9-D) and Kashish Chhabra (9-C)
[gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="2"]At our first match with Sunder Deep Model School, Aashi Gupta of class IX -D scored a goal and our School won by 1-0.
Our second match was against Bluebells International School and the match result was a draw 0-0.
Our third match was again against Sunder Deep Model School, where Vanshika Raheja of class IX -D scored a goal and our School won 1-0. Vanshika Raheja also named Player of the Match for her excellent performance on the field.
It was a great learning experience for our girls and they came back filled with new vigour on sharpening their skills further.
