Honours at inter school Commerce event

Potential is not an endpoint but a capacity to grow and learn.

The commerce students of classes XI and XII participated in the online Heritage Commerce League 2021 organised by Heritage School, Rohini. 13schools from across Delhi-NCR participated in the event.

The League encompassed various events comprising, 'The Rebel', 'Fuel your Passion', 'For the Pirates Eye', 'The Google Earth is Waiting' and 'Make your own Budget'.

'Fuel your Passion' was a two-round start up event that provided a platform to participants to conceptualise a start up based on a historical figure like Mahatma Gandhi, Adolf Hitler, and Nelson Mandela. The final round saw the participants modify their start ups by incorporating changes in their products or service for use in the 22nd century.

Paakhi Rajpal, Dhhriti Arorra, and Khushleen Kaur of class 12C came up with an eco brick start up- the Green Chair, that won them the title Environment Saviours.

The surprise event 'Pirates Eye' comprised of four rounds. The participants were to guess renowned personalities, taglines, and brands.Surveen Kaur and Punya Chawla of class 12C won the title- Captain Jack Sparrows.

'Google Earth is Waiting' consisted of an innovative quiz on the global economy and business. The participants were assigned a budget to use to reach their destination, New York. 'Money' deducted for every wrong answer.Shamita Das Gupta and Divya Lamba of class XIC successfully reached their destination and won the title of Travel Wizards.

The first round in 'Make your own Budget' called upon participants to analyse and present a hypothetical budget based on a crisis assigned to them, for example, a war between India and China and its impact on the Indian economy.Akshay Mehta, Roshan Sanwlani, and Aryan Chawla of class XII- C designed a budget and bagged the title-The Erudite Analysis.

'The Rebel' was a three-round debating event that witnessed scathing arguments and rebuttals. The first round included an internal debate on Sharad Pawars Co-op Bank scam, and a group discussion on the trade war between the US and China, in the second round. The skilled team ofAditya Prasad Sahu and Pragalpa Subramanian of class XIC qualified for the final roundwherein they spoke extempore on Travel Industry in the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Overall, the Indianite delegation did a commendable job in the events and successfully bagged numerous laurels for our School. The host school announced the results at the end of the competitions.
