Honours at inter school competition, ' Vidyani Vibes 2021

An online inter school competition, Vidyani Vibes was held by Navrachana School, Vadodara on 22 and 23 January 2021. It was the second edition of the student-led event that provides a platform for promoters of the avant-garde to bond over a common thread of communication and liberated expression.

Our students of junior school participated in Comicdom, an event for classes I-III. The little munchkins got a chance to showcase their humorous side by performing a comic act on a comedian of their choice. Abdullah Khan of class I, Akshita Bhaskar of class II and Vihaan Sharma of class III participated in the event and sent in their recorded videos. The time limit for the video was 2 minutes.

Only 5 participants per class were shortlisted from all over India for the Judges Round. It was a proud moment as Akshita Bhaskar and Vihaan Sharma got selected for the same. Akshita presented her act on Bharti Singh, popular Indian comedian while Vihaan Sharma chose Thor Odinson, a fictional superhero in American comic books for their short comic act.

Akshita Bhaskar won the First Prize and Vihaan Sharma received a Consolation Prize in the event.

A team comprising Arnav Gupta of class VI, Aryahi Das of class V and Rishima Dube of class VI participated in the Speak n WritePronto event. The competition was divided into three levels- a drawing game, a word game and an extempore round. The team was awarded a Consolation Prize for their spontaneous performance.

Tanisha Mendiratta of class 7 represented our School in 'Covimic Strip', wherein participants had to create a comic strip that described the current situation of the country. The time limit was 1.5 hours and it was a live event. Tanisha won a Consolation Prize for her creative entry.

A Mini Folkore competition for the teachers was also held. It was a live event where our School librarian, Ms Tarannum Athar narrated Rabindranath Tagores story Tota Kahani within the 3 minutes time limit. She won a Consolation Prize for the same.

It was a wonderful learning experience for all the participants and provided them a platform to showcase their talents.
