Honours at the Zonal inter school Chess Championship, 2017-18

Sports can create hope where once there was only despair. Its more powerful than government in breaking down racial barriers." Our School has always believed in the overall development of a student with extensive opportunities for co-curricular activities. The Zonal Chess Championship 2017-18 (Zone-23) at our School was another exercise in the same direction. 0ur team enlisted to play in all the categories. The knock- out based tournament started on 25th August and the finals were held on 30th August, 2017. 23 schools participated in the girls categories and 19 schools in the boys categories. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"] The Indian School senior boys, junior girls and sub-junior girls qualified for the finals in their categories. They aimed to carry back laurels and they did! Our boys senior team emerged the winners of the tournament, beating Amity, Pushp Vihar in the finals and our sub junior boys team was declared Second runners up in its category. Our girls team was the first runners up in the sub junior and junior categories. The students who participated in the different categories are as follows. SENIOR BOYS (1st POSITION) 1.
