Honours at Virus 2k16, inter school computer fest

An inter-school computer competition titled VIRUS 2K16 was held at Bluebells School International on 21st October 2016. This event was primarily concerned with the integration of computer and multimedia technology at the school level in an era of creativity, technology and innovation. More than 15 schools participated in this competition. Some of these were:

DPS RK Puram DPS Faridabad Birla Vidya Niketan Tagore International School, East of Kailash Bluebells School International Apeejay School Sheikh Sarai Ramjas School Thirteen students of our School participated in various events at the competition. These were: 1. Rubik Cube:- Prakhar Gupta of class XII, Chitrak Kala, class IX and Arjun Pasricha of class X participated in the (2x2), (3x3) and pyraminx rubik cube events respectively. Rules were intimated on the spot. Prakhar Gupta secured first position in the (2x2) rubik cube event.

2. Virtual Treasure Hunt:- Manav Arora of class XI and Pulkit Goyal of class XII participated in this theme based event where participants maneuvered through clues and hints on a computer using multiple software, to reach the final answer before everyone else. Our students secured third position in this event.

3. Programming:- Mayank Wadhwani and Anchit Thakur of class XII participated in this event. There was a 30 minutes objective type preliminary round which consisted of MCQs, one word answer questions and an output finding round.

4. Photography:- S. Smrithi of class XI participated in this event. The theme was given on the spot and 120 minutes were given to click and submit the best relevant and unedited pictures taken inside the school campus.

5. Gaming:- Karan Sidhu of class IX participated in this fun gaming event. The rules and the type of game were disclosed to the participants on the spot.

6. Power point presentation-Haritma Sharma and Rudra Punj of class V participated in this event. power point presentation was given to the teams with each slide having some special effects. The teams had to replicate these effects in the least time possible.

7. Quiz :- Rhythm Narang of class XI and Samarth Saxena of class X participated in the quiz. The 30 minutes objective type prelim round shortlisted six teams for the final on-stage round.
