'Impeccable, 2014'

A novel initiative by our Commerce Society, " There was never a winner who wasn't a beginner." On 20 May, 2014, Bizcraft-the Commerce Society of our School, for the first time, hosted an inter-house commerce event for classes X-XII, named 'Impeccable, 2014'. Impeccable meaning flawless, is not merely a ten- letter word but holds great significance with its power to influence thoughts, feelings, actions and states of mind. To defeat the defeatist attitude is the goal of Impeccable. As the tagline of Impeccable screamed, "Learn your way", the whole objective of the exercise was instilling initiative to make a difference amongst the participants. We were lucky to have our Commerce alumni-Tripta Ahuja and Heena Bajaj as judges for the event. Tripta Ahuja is a graduate in Business Studies At both school and college levels, she was involved in extra-curricular activities, from debating and event management to now working in the developed sector. Heena Bajaj scored 95.6% in her 12th board and secured the first position in the stream in her batch. She aldo received a CBSE Merit Certificate for being among the top 0.1 % scorers in Business Studies as a subject in the 12th that year! Thereafter, she pursued B Com (Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College where she actively participated in managing ,coordinating and conceptualising various events. A movie made by Harshul Chugh, XII B was showcased on the occasion which threw light on the new event. It was followed by an award winning drama by students of class XII B on Inflation. To make this competition an enjoyable and learning experience, it was held in 3 categories; 1st category: Logo-matic- Logo designing and tagline- scripting. The winner in this category was Surya House: Garvit Kala XII A, Shiranshu Kumar XII A and Padamchitt Saxena XII C. 2nd category: Flash star- Press release Urja Chhabra XI B from Surya House was adjudged Best Speaker from amongst classes X-XII, while Chirag Gupta XII B from Chandra House was selected by the judges for Best Interjector. 3rd category: B-Buzz- Business and Economics quiz Surya House lifted the first prize here too. The participants were Sanyam Narula XII B, Shivika Paliwal XI C and Arshia Choudhary, XI B. The quiz was compiled and conducted by Mahima Batheja, Harshul Chugh and Tanya Bansal while Logomatic was organised by Riya Kohli and Akanksha Vashist, all from XII B. As programme-in-charges of the Impeccable, Ojasvi Jain and Anish Bhat, XII B made sure that students took pride in their achievement and small trophies were presented to winners as mementos along with merit certificates. The audience was keen and participative. Their enthusiastic feedback reassured us greatly. The judges were delighted by the effort and warmly congratulated the commerce department.
