Impeccable 2015

Impeccable 2015, the annual Commerce event at our School, an initiative of BizCraft, our Commerce Society was held on 21st May 2015. Impeccable aims at widening the knowledge of students in the fields of business and economics. Through the medium of Impeccable, we also aim to foster a competitive spirit in students to achieve excellence. Impeccable 2015 was the second edition after its launch by students of Class XII-B last year.
We were indeed privileged to have Ms. Sangeeta Aswani, Coorindator, Citizenship Programme to judge the event along with our alumni, Nupur Nandi Nagpal, batch 2008-2009 and Gurmani Chadha, batch 2009-2010, who have their B.Com(Hons) from Jesus and Mary College, DU and Shri Ram College of Commerce, DU, respectively. They were welcomed with a potted plants, nurtured in our School nursery and hampers of handmade soap and candles, made by students under the aegis of the Citizenship Programme.
The programme started with a song themed Impeccable, composed by Chinmaya Iyer and Aueshic Das of class XI-B. The lyricist of the song was Snigdha Verma, class XIIB. The song was appreciated by all and set the right mood for our event.
The four events;
1) Bizonomics: a symposium
2) Tradeco: quiz
3) Clinch The Deal and
4) BizBazaar
were introduced and the participants were asked to move to their respective venues. The event coordinators had a big role to play at the assigned venues.
Clinch The Deal: Arunima Bhutani and Rohan Gupta, XIIB
BizBazaar: Snigdha Verma and Kanika Sharma, XIIB
Bizonomics: Urja Chhabra and Mehar Kaur, XIIB
BIZONOMICS: was held in the auditorium. Each house had a team of two students from classes X-XII, namely, the speaker and the interjector and were allotted a topic each. Soumya Saxena of Chandra House spoke on the topic ' Smart way to Smart cities' and how smart cities are key to the development of India. Next in line was Indra House's, Dishani Guha who spoke on the topic ' Invasion of E-stores: Brick and Mortar stores becoming extinct' and emphasised on the pros and cons of both. Surya House speaker, Pranati Haldia spoke on the topic ' Indian Population: Demographic Dividend or Demographic Catastrophe' and stated how the population, if given the right opportunities, can help the economy grow. Last, Saransh Grover from Varun House, spoke on the topic ' Minimum Government, Maximum Governance: An economic perspective'. Every speaker had a minute of interjection.

Pranati Haldia, Surya House took the prize for BEST SPEAKER and Tabish Husain, Surya House bagged the prize for the BEST INTERJECTOR. All the participants were heartily congratulated by the judges for their effort and performance.
BIZBAZAAR was the section where the participants were to imagine they were in charge of a joint venture of completely opposite companies. They had to design a product for that company, and market it. This round was held in the auditorium and there were two participants from each house. Chandra House was given Tropicana and TRESemme, and they designed the logo Tresicana, which claimed to provide richness to the hair by using organic fruits! Indra Houses product was from the joint ventures of Classmate and Lavie bags, and they designed a logo of colourful paper bags to promote happiness and vitality in the lives of the underprivileged as a part of their earnings would go towards their welfare. Surya House was given Sensodyne and Mc Donalds, for which they designed Sensifries which was a powder with fries, to protect customers from tooth decay and other oral problems! Varun House was given Ford and Rolex, for which they designed Fordex, with the tagline Beat time with Speed!
Himanshi Saini and Vidhi Hamirwasia were adjudged the winners from Varun House due to their unique product idea of smart watch cum car control and their innovative and creative strategy of marketing it.
TRADECO: the quiz was the second event held in the auditorium. The hosts of the quiz were Alisamar Husain, class XIA and Saruby Sharma, Class XD. There were three participants from each house. The quiz involved brainstorming rounds. Additionally, there were also rounds for the audience and were enjoyed thoroughly. Ishaan Batra, Arshia Chaudhuri and Simran Khurana from Surya House were declared the winners.
CLINCH THE DEAL was a mock auction held in the AV ROOM. There were two teams from each house of three participants each. The competitive event was a first of its kind in which the participants had to openly bid to create their very own city. This round involved serious strategising, as each item carried points and rules to qualify. The round was extremely exciting and all the participants and viewers enjoyed it. Apaar Bhardwaj, Tushar Gupta and Pratishtha Kohli comprised the winning team from Surya House.
At the end of the programme, the judges addressed the gathering and congratulated all participants and team BizCraft.
"Team work divides the task, and multiples the success"; on this note, we thanked each one who had been a part of the organising team and contributed in every way to making IMPECCABLE a success.
