Impeccable 2024'- annual intra school commerce competition

The Indian School organised the highly anticipated annual intra-school commerce competition, 'Impeccable 2024' on 29 October, sparking excitement and competitive spirit among the students of classes 9-12. Designed to foster business acumen, this event brought together young minds to engage in simulated business challenges, each aimed at testing their financial, analytical, and entrepreneurial skills.

This year, Impeccable was organised by class XII-C, with student leaders, Neeyati Suri and Gautam Asija managing the overall coordination under the guidance of their teacher, Mr Ramesh Kumar.

The competition commenced with a vibrant musical performance and a heartfelt tribute to the late business leader, Mr Ratan Tata through a video.  Mrs Tina Kapoor, Vice President PTA, then addressed the audience with her

after which  Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, formally inaugurated the event,  motivating the participants to take full advantage of the valuable opportunity for growth and learning.

The panel of judges was warmly introduced and welcomed before assuming their roles at the various competition venues. The judges, distinguished School alumni, contributed their expertise to the competitions.
School proudly welcomed its distinguished alumni — Shamit Sharma, Bharati Gupta, Nishtha Minocha and Aditya Prasad Sahoo, who contributed their expertise to the competitions as members of the jury. Shamit is currently pursuing a B.Com (Hons) at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce.

The event organisers creatively curated several competitions to engage the participants in real-world business scenarios and test their knowledge, skills, and creativity across various domains in trade and commerce. Each event was tailored to challenge the participants in unique ways, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical, high-energy settings.

Here's a look at the key events:

1. Wall Street Brawl: This virtual stock market simulation challenged participants to make strategic investments in a high-speed environment. The participants demonstrated their financial literacy and adaptability by investing in and managing a portfolio of stocks from multiple corporations. Aman Kapoor and Hriday Tejwani oversaw the event, which had 40 participants and was judged by Aditya Prasad Sahoo and Nishtha Manocha.

2. Brand Busters: Testing brand knowledge, this quiz and challenge-based event evaluated the participants' grasp of branding concepts and market insights and their ability to think on their feet. The event attracted almost 50 participants, who were ably managed by Jaslin Kaur and Saanvi Mathur.

3. Indianite Premier League: Almost 30 students participated in this sub-event inspired by the IPL auction process and deftly managed by Kush Mutreja and Advait Manchanda. The excitement was palpable as the participants bid in a faux environment to create their ideal cricket teams. This exercise helped build teamwork, negotiation skills, and resource management.

4. Zero 2 Hero: A platform for budding entrepreneurs, this event allowed the 34 participants to pitch business ideas to the esteemed jury members, Shamit Sharma and Bharati Gupta, who judged them based on their speaking, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial skills. Shaurya Bhardwaj and Shashwat Krishna skilfully managed the event.

5. Thunderclap: The surprise event was a business quiz in which 21 participants applied quick thinking and deductive skills to various business-related topics. Viraaj Gaba and Inesh Batra conducted this delightful event.

The events concluded with an awards ceremony and an insightful speech by Shamit Sharma who encouraged the attendees to engage in further discussion, networking, and future events.
