Independent Child Activity
HAPPINESS IS .being independent.
India completed 69 years of independence on 15 August 2015, and in order to celebrate it in a unique way the young Indianites of the pre-primary department participated in the Independent Child Week from 17 to 21 August 2015. The almanacs and water bottles of all the Pre-School children were shuffled and placed on the tables. The children were then directed to identify and retrieve their own almanacs and water bottles, zip them up in their school bags before running up to the finishing line!
The children were also given an exercise of fastening and unfastening their skating bags and independently putting on the skating gear. All the children participated enthusiastically. In fact there seemed a happy spirit of competition too as one tried to outdo the next in speedily completing the task!

Four children per section were chosen for the final round where the pre-primary took on the pre-schoolers. The teachers prompted the children as they went about their chores, emerging independent, and confident little people. The winners were encouraged with certificates and toffees.
