Indianites participate in Hepatitis Day at The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences.

On 4th December, 2014 Indianites from classes 6 to 9 participated enthusiastically in a mass awareness campaign and vaccination drive organised by The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day. Viral hepatitis, a viral infection of the liver, is a global health problem affecting all age groups and people from all walks of life.

The function was attended by Dr. Jagdish Prasad, Director, Health and Community Services, Mr. SCL Das, Delhi Health Secretary and Dr. Vason Pinyowiwat from WHO, in addition to senior officials from the Delhi Government. This marked the launch of the Hepatitis Awareness Assistance and Treatment Support (HAATS) initiative.

Divtesh Singh, class IX D and Nikhil Sodhi, class IX A participated in a fancy dress competition on the theme Fight against Hepatitis and lead a healthy life. Nikhil was dressed as junk food and Divtesh as healthy food! The accoutrements for the costume were innovative handcrafted at School in the art department.

Saumya Saxena,class IX C and Saruby Sharma, class IX D participated in the slogan-writing competition on the theme Organ Donation.Their slogan was The wait is on for millions of receptors. Donate your organs and be the protector.
