Inter-House Dance Competition for classes 6 and 7.
An inter- house dance competition was organised on 19 May, 2014 for classes VI and VII, in the school auditorium. The categories for the competition were Solo Classical Dance and Group Folk Dance. The students performed Odissi in the classical category and we were happily surprised to view a variety of folk dance forms in that category. There were Lavani, Ghoomar, Bhangra and Dandiya for the houses Indra, Varun, Surya and Chandra respectively. The Foundation Hall resonated with spirited song, erecting the ambience of the country where folk fervour is fittest. Mala zau denya ghari, Mharo Ghoomar chey nakhrali, Ooncha lamba kad and Rangtali rangtali rang through the hall and no foot in the audience could have resisted tapping along! The first and second prizes were taken by Chandra and Surya Houses respectively in both the categories. The competition was judged by our teachers, Ms. Satyabhama, Mr. Anthony B DCosta and Mr. Sanjeev Chaudhary.
