An Inter- house music competition was held on 9 February 2015 for classes VI and VII in the School auditorium. The categories for the competition were Solo Classical Music and Regional Patriotic Songs (group).
The participants presented various ragas in the vocal classical style, namely, Bhupali, Vrindavani Saarang, Durga and Yaman.
The first prize and second prizes were taken by Surya House and Chandra House respectively. The second category was inspired by the theme of the year where the students presented popular patriotic songs from Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala and West Bengal. The Foundation Hall resonated with spirited patriotic fervour, electrifying the ambience and mesmerising the audience! 'Aakash ganga surya chandra tara, Jaya Bhaaratha jananiya thanujathe, Janmakarini Bharatham and Pathe ebaar namo shathi rang through the hall. The ecstatic audience proved the popular adage Music has no language!
The first and second prizes were taken by Chandra and Surya Houses respectively. The competition was adjudged by our teachers, Mr. Rajeev Massey, Mr. Gopinath Swain and Mr. Sushant Raut.
