In the course of Independence Day celebrations, an inter-house group song competition was conducted on 23 August, 2013 for classes 4 and 5. The theme offered was patriotic songs in Hindi.
The whole assembly was steadily charged and the mood was infused with songs like "Hum sabhi bharati aaj yeh wada karein..'by by Indra House, ' Nanha munna rahi hoon..' by Surya House, ' Jahan daal daal par...' by Chandra House and 'Dil diya hai jaan bhi denge aye watan tere liye,.' by Varun House.
Students sitting in the audience were also moulded into the momentum and the mood, humming as they did, as the participants performed! The tablas were played by Sanatan Srivastava, class 8D and the tambourine by Keshav Narain, class 8D.
[gallery columns="2"]The criteria for the judges were Tune, Melody, Rhythm, Synchronisation and the Choice of song. Surya House secured the first position followed by Indra house in the second position. The honourable judges were our own Mrs. Vandana Misra and Mr. Rajeev Massey. The. ' master of ceremony' was Junior Head Boy, Srinjoy Mukherjee.
