In the continuing spirit of Independence Day celebrations, an inter-house group song competition was conducted on 2 September, 2013 for classes 6 and 7. The theme of the competition was patriotic songs in Hindi.
The entire assembly was wound into the patriotic spirit by the moving renditions of Mere desh ki dharti (sung by Chandra House), Ma tujhe salam ( sung by Indra House), Chak de India (sung by Surya House) and Aye mere pyare watan (sung by Varun House). The lilting instrumental support was lent by the students themselves. Pranav Singhal on the harmonium, Mohammad Hassan on the congo ( class VII) and Randhir Manchandani played the dafli ( class VI) for Chandra House. Sharanya Sai ( harmonium) and Reet Kohli (Congo) of class VII and Lakshay Gupta ( Maracas) played for Indra House, Lakshay Joshi (Keyboard) & Sahej Singh (Congo) of class VII and Anmol Singh (Maracas) & Akhil (Tambourine) of class VI played for Surya House, Simran Chugh (Harmonium) and Divij Bhargav ( Tabla) played for Varun House.
