Inter school art competition
I don't say everything, but I paint everything. Pablo Picasso
The Indian School always encourages student participation in diverse competitions for their holistic development. On 14 February 2023, a team of six students participated in an inter school Art Fest, 'creART' organised by the Hindustan Times School
at Ramjas School, RK Puram. The event saw the participation of more than 100 students of classes III -VIII from 27 schools.
The delicate brush strokes were awe inspiring. The images were unbiased, true and innocent. The confluence of such a large number of young artists triggered fun, frolic and festivities.
And yet, there was a sense of purpose and seriousness, as the children gave shape to their deep inner thoughts.
Meanwhile, a workshop ontie and dye printing techniques was organisedfor the teachers. They were apprised of the origin and history of tie and dye printing in India. They were able to create beautiful effects on cotton cloth and made vibrant patterns using the technique. They thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and were able to express their creativity through the myriad hues of colour.
