Inter school computer symposium

Students participated in the 29th Annual Computing Symposium Access 2017 organised by Modern School, Barakhamba Road on 22nd and 23rd December 2017. Over 1500 students from Delhi NCR participated in the event. Our students enrolled in the following events.

Software Development: Yajush Vyas and Arjun Pasricha of class XI participated in this event which required them to create their own app. Yajush qualified for the final round with his quizzing app Quiznites.

Group discussion: Gitansh Satija of class XI took part in this event and qualified for the stage round. The discussion tested the logical reasoning and communicative skills of the participants.

Story Writing: Shruti Negi of class IX participated in this event and wrote a humorous story.

Programming: This event tested logic, math and coding skills of students in a written preliminary round. Sarim Hussain and Ansh Gupta of class XI participated in the open category while Uday of class IX participated in the junior category. Akshit, Roshan, Harshit and Asmita of class VIII took part in the sub junior category.

A/V Editing: Ibrahim of class IX qualified for the final round in this event with his video on Signature Technology of 2019. His video came in for great praise by the judges.

Cross word: The crossword was based on cryptic clues relating to companies, personalities, terms, devices etc., of the tech world. Arya Khanna and Srinjoy Mukherjee of class IX participated in this event.

Hardware: This event tested the hardware knowledge of participants in a written preliminary round. Aryan Chhajer of class IX participated in this event.

Quiz: Aryan Singh and Aryaman ( junior category) and Arya Khanna and Srinjoy Mukherjee (open category) of class IX participated in this event. The quiz tested the participants IT knowledge.

Cadet Quiz: Dheevam Singh and Udayan Sindhu if class V participated is an MCQ round and answered questions on prominent tech personalities, history of famous companies etc.

Fancy dress: Participants were judged on the creativity and quality of their creations as well as their content delivery. Mustafa Safi of class V participated in this event and was dressed as a Robot.

Multimedia Presentation: Aryamaan Goswamy of class V participated in this event. He was required to submit an online entry of a powerpoint presentation on the topic The future of AI: Mark Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk.

Sub Junior Quiz: This event tested all aspects of computing and the world of technology. The participating students were Uday Soni of class VI, Shashmit of class VII, Jagmeet Singh, Saksham Channa, Sarvogya Puri and Paryat of class VIII.
