  Amrita Dutta and Kriti Dang of classes 12 and 11 respectively, participated in the 46th Gowardhan Dass Memorial Inter School Declamation Contest held at Springdales School, Pusa Road on Friday, 20 April, 2012. The judges for the event were Dr. Nalini G. Kapoor. Asst. Prof., Dept. of English, Vivekananda College D.U.; Ms. Seema Chisti, Consulting Editor, The Indian Express and Ms. Atiya Zaidi, Publisher, Ratna Sagar Pvt. Ltd. Other participating schools were St. Marys School, Tagore International School, Maharaja Sawai Man Singh School, Jaipur, St. Thomas School, Blue bells School International, Mater Dei School, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, Convent of Jesus and Mary, DPS, Mathura Road, Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hissar, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, DPS, R K Puram, Modern School, Vasant Vihar, The Mothers International School and the host, Springdales School, Pusa Road. Amrita energetically offered a case on Does the Indian electorate really have a choice? whilst Kriti effortlessly articulated on Has the institution of marriage outlived its relevance?
