Inter School Football Zonals

The Inter School Football Zonals (Junior) began on 31st October 2015. The matches were held at Laxman Public School. In the first match, our team played against Manav Bharti International School. However, due to an early walkover in the first match, our team reached the quarter final directly. The next stage, the quarter final, was scheduled to for 3rd November 2015 in which our School met in a close contest with Father Angel School. Almost until the end, the score remained a perfect balance, only eventually turning in our favour and we won, 3-2. Cheers to our players, Karan Sidhu (X-A), Prajjwal Roy (X-A), Saket Jha (X-A) and our goalkeeper Mayank Khatri (X-C) for playing excellently.

[gallery link="file" columns="2"] From here we moved to the semi-final. This was played on 5th November against General Raj School. We, unfortunately, lost against them by 1-0. However on 7th November, we played against Apeejay Sheikh Sarai in which we took the third position. Our School scored a goal in the second half but by the end of the second- half, APJ Sheikh Sarai managed to equal the score. Interestingly, this match was also decided after the penalties. Mayank Khatri, our goalkeeper (X-C) saved all 3 shots and our shooters, Pranav Tanwar (lX-C), Aman Pathania (X-A) and Chirag Narang left no chance to challenge and eventually, we won by 3-0.
