Inter school IT event

An event by Force (Forum of Radical Computer Experts) was held at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai on 23rd and 24th August 2017. It purports to set up challenges to test the ability of students training in IT. 18 students from our School participated in events across the various levels.

These were: Sub Junior:- Classes III-V Junior:- Classes VI-VIII Senior :- Classes IX-XII Open: All classes, VI and above.

The various events were:

1. Exaction (Quiz)

Gitansh Satija and Jatin of class XI participated in the event. Each team comprised 2 participants. The duration of the preliminary round was 30 minutes. The top 6 teams qualified for the finals. The duration of the final round was 90 minutes. The topic allotted was Knowledge over power!'

2. #include (Programming)

Harsh Gupta and Ranjeet Anand of class XII participated in this programming event which required the coding of difficult programmes using software such as Sublime Text 3, C++. The event was held in the senior domain and the duration was 90 minutes.

3. God-Mode (PC Gaming& Console)

Avinoor Singh of class X and Shivam of class XI participated in this fun and challenging gaming event where peripherals such as controllers, a gaming pad and headphones were allowed. The event was held in the open domain.

4. Lumetri(A/V Editing)

Sidaqdeep Singh and Shubhranshu Banerjee of class X participated in this visual and audio event where the participants created a video using softwares such as Adobe master suite CS 6 and Sony Vegas. The event was held in the open domain and the time allotted was 90 minutes. The songs belonged to the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) genre. Both our students had a great time mixing various sound tracks and combining them into a single track.

5. Color Switch ( PaintBrush)

MS Paint was the medium used in this challenge. Krunal Patel of class V participated and had to submit a painting using lines and colours. The event was held in the sub-junior domain and the time allotted for this event was 60 minutes. Our school won the 3rd position in the category.

6. BoxSpot(Crossword)

Sahil Chugh and Kumar and Aarv Dhingri of class VIII participated in this power point production. The topic was Virtual Reality.

. 7. Impress(Digital Imaging)

Karandeep Kapoor of class XII and Ibrahim Ahmed of class IX participated in the event. Students created a digital image using Adobe Creative Suite within a time frame of 90 minutes.

8. WebEdge (Web Designing)

ChitrakKala ,Darsh Kumar of class X participated in this challenge. The software used in the event were Google Chrome/ Sublime text 3/ PrePos/ Adobe Photoshop/ illustrator. The languages were HTML/ CSS, Jquery/ PHP Event. The duration of the event was 120 minutes. The topic for the event was Create your own and dont 'Inspect Element !
