Inter School Junior Athletic Meet

The students of The Indian School participated in the 5th Wing Commander Mathew Inter School Junior Athletic Meet on Friday 11th December 2015. The meet was organised by St. Mary's School, S.J. Enclave and was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Around 20 schools from Delhi and the NCR participated in this tournament. The events for the day included 70 m races, 50 m races, long jump, high jump, ball throw and relays. As the students' cheers rented the air, the athletes with grit and determination, raced to achieve glory for their schools.

The most awaited event of the day was the Hand Ball Throw in which Uday Soni (IV C) of our School secured first place. He carried away the gold medal in the Under-10 category, while Mohd Ayan Bhatt (III A) won the silver medal in the Under-9 category. Navya Rathi (IV D) won the bronze medal for Long Jump, in the Under 10 category (Girls). It was a proud moment when these children were felicitated for their achievements.
