Inter school Math- Psycho event

Our students of participated in Mosaic and Mathematical Crusade, an inter school event held at DPS RK Puram, on 9th December, 2017. 3 students of Psychology in class XI and 8 students of Math in classes IX and X took part in the various events. Reva Kalra and Khyati Karana of class XI participated in Act It Out. The participants were given 12 topics prior to the competition to research upon. 1 of the12 topics was given to the teams on the spot and the students had to enact a 2 minute skit, as an analysis of the topic. Here our team was given the topic Social Loafing. This is a common trait found in various people who tend to shift responsibility upon others and do not make any individual effort. This was enacted proficiently. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"] Reet Kohli of class XI participated in the event, Canvas. This was a poster making and slogan writing competition. Her topic was Substance Abuse. The students of classes IX and X who took part in Model Making made effective models on different concepts of Math. They also took part in a surprise quiz called The crypto currency which quizzed their principles of Math. As a reward for every correct answer, a monetary award was handed to the students and for every incorrect answer it was set off. Another competition that the students participated in was Symphonies where they were asked to compile mathematical objects present in the surroundings. It was an interesting competition where we could learn how psychology and mathematics are interlinked in real life situations. Reva Kalra, class 11.
