Interaction at a tv launch

We all like watching television series and we like them all the more if we relate and identify with them. Makers of popular shows like Miley Jab Hum Tum, Na Bole Tum Na Main, Maine Kuch Kaha and Gulmohar Grand Sunshine Productions have rolled out a new show, Aadha Full. It will be aired on Doordarshan and is jointly prepared by Unicef India and BBC Media Action. This serial is based on the lives of young children and primarily deals with social issues in our society. It is about how the three protagonists, Tara, Adrak and Kitty solve various mysteries and convince people not to believe in superstitions. Dealing with tough situations and bringing a change in the psyche of people, forms the crux of the story.

The students of our School were delighted to be invited to the launch of the TV serial Aadha Full. Ten students of class 10 and 11 attended the launch at the ITC Maurya. The show was launched in the presence of Ms. Supriya Sahu (Director of Doordarshan), Mr. Louie George (Indian representative of UNICEF), Priyanka Dutt (Country Head, Media BBC Action), Dr. Surya Prakash and several other government officials along with the media and students as guests. The entire star cast of the show, Ehsaas Channa, Harsh Mayar and Mallika Ghai enacted extracts from the show for the audience and also interacted with us. Video clips from the show were also being played in background.

The launch was followed by drinks and an elaborate dinner. While the dinner was being served, four students of our School, Gitaansh Satija, Avantika Chodha, Saumyaa Saxena and Sarim Hussain were interviewed in the conference room by BBC Media Action. They were asked to share their views on the show and mention whether they liked the theme of the show. They were also asked to interpret the significance of the title of the show, Aadha Full.

The launch came to an end with the organisers handing out mementos to the students.
