International Mango Day Celebration in Pre primary A Mango-licious Experience
With excitement and joy, the young Indianites celebrated “International Mango Day” in the School auditorium. The atmosphere was filled with vibrant energy as our young learners explored the world of mangoes in a fun and hands'-on approach.
The event began with a warm welcome by two confident Pre schoolers dressed charmingly as mangoes. Their cheerful introduction set a lively tone and brought smiles to everyone in the audience. Next came a delightful musical session where mango-themed rhymes were sung in both English and Hindi. To take the learning further, a teacher, transformed into a mango vendor introduced the children to the different varieties such as Chaunsa, Dasheri, Mallika and Amrapali. Real fruit samples were displayed, giving the children a chance to see, touch and talk about the colours, shapes, tastes and special features of each mango.
The celebration continued with an eye-catching display of mango-based treats like mango shake, aam ras, lassi, aam panna, mango jam, mango pickle, aam papad, mango yoghurt, mango-juice candies and amchur. Moreover, many students brought mango-themed items in their tiffin boxes which they joyfully shared with their friends.
The International Mango Day celebration was a delightful mix of learning and enjoyment. It encouraged curiosity, creative expression and lively participation. Most of all, it helped the children appreciate seasonal fruits in a way that was both educational and memorable. It was truly a “mango-licious” day.
