Intra school Shloka Recitation competition

The International Gita Mahotsav is celebrated annually on the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha. It is believed that on this day, Lord Krishna imparted the knowledge of the Gita to Arjuna at Kurukshetra before the commencement of the great Mahabharata war. Shri Krishna, by sharing the wisdom of the Gita with Arjuna, showed him the way to live in the world. It is thus said that on this day, the Gita was born on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

The Indian School organised a ‘Gita Shloka Recitation Competition’ on December 22, 2023 on the occasion.

Students from various classes participated in the competition, including Yashvadhan Saini, Pihu, Kashvi Sachdeva, Alina Lal, Charisha Verma, and Meghna Majumdar of class VI; Aditya Pathak, Snigdha Mishra, Anjali Pandey, Vasudev Awasthi, Aastha Kumari, Swaransh Chaudhary, Kavya Joshi, and Lakshita of class VII and Himanshu Gupta, Vedashree, Dwita Arora, Sakshi Saini, Abhav Bhardwaj, and Mahak Mahato of class VIII.
