Junior Flash 2015.

An Inter-school competition in Computers titled Junior Flash 2015 was held at Junior Modern School, Humayun Road on 21st January 2015. 17 schools participated in this competition and 12 students of our School participated in various events at the competition. Participants were from classes 2 to 5.

The competition had 8 events which were:-

1. Speak your Mind: Samaara Ravish of class 5 spoke on the topic Video Chat. The time allotted in this event was 2 minutes.

2. Quiz Battle Sanskriti Roy of class 4 and Saksham Chanana of class 5 took part in this challenging quiz event. This event had a preliminary round with 35 MCQ relating to Computing and IT. Our team qualified in the preliminary round and was one of 8 teams selected for the final round. The final round had 8 sub-rounds, some of them being, ' Identify the Founder, Whats APP?, Rapid fire.

3. Penguin Color Palette- A Tux-Paint Contest in which Adwitye S. Chandel of class 2 participated and won the Second Prize. The topic given to him was 'Railway Station'.

4. Turtles Playground- An MS LOGO contest in which Yahvi Rishi and Anthariksh Nair of class 3 participated. The topic given to them was My Room.

5. Animate IT was an interesting event in which participants were required to create an innovative and attractive animation around a Pivot Stick Figure. Ananya Sundersan and Meenakshi Manoj of class 4 participated. The topic given to them was Sports' Day.

6. Slide Geeks in which Nyal Kakadia of class 5 participated in the Power point- making event where he had to design 5 slides on the topic Child Labour in 30 minutes.

7. La Pintura An MS Paint event in which Nakul Chadda of class 4 and Aadya Seth of class 5 participated. The topic given to them was My Journey to Space.

8. Its a PropShow- In this event, the participant had to dress and pose as something from the field of computers and speak about what he/she represented. Shresth Mishra of class 2 dressed up as a computer mouse and ably recited a poem about it.

All the participants from our School performed very confidently and offered their best. Congratulations to Adwitiye for winning the second prize! The competition was indeed a fun learning experience.
