The first of its kind, these awards were launched with the aim of strengthening the co-scholastic aspects of child and adolescent development and to facilitate the mentoring of best practices in holistic education. The innovative framework of these awards received an overwhelming response from a large number of CBSE and non-CBSE schools across the country. In tandem with the grand success of previous years, Expressions India once again announced their Life Empowerment Awards for Schools.

The award ceremony took place on 17th August 2017 at the India International Centre. The Guests of Honour for the event were Ms Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Ms. Shovana Narayan, Padmashri and Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee, Shri.
