Maths Competition

Dr. Stya Paul Memorial Quest 2015 Apeejay School, Saket organised the Dr. Stya Paul Memorial Quest 2015 on July 30, 2015. Twenty three schools participated in this event. The event comprised of six items across classes 2 to 11. Naman Singh from class 2 participated in Exploring Shapes. This event consisted of two rounds involving the identification of shapes and creating a pattern using these shapes. Pratham from class 3 participated in the Pattern-o-metry where he had to present complete sequences of patterns in the given time limit. Mathematics Relay saw the participation of Uday Soni of class 4, Damak Saxena of class 5, Saksham Chanana of class 6 and Arya Khanna of class 7. They were provided with four problems that had to be solved in a relay format by passing the question from one class to another. Sana Mendiratta of class 8 and Gitansh Satija of class 9 represented School for the event Mathematical Model-Making. The theme of their model was the application of non-euclidean geometry in real life. They showcased the same by depicting the principle in the human eye and in bridges. Kshitij Mohan participated in the Mathematical Quiz which comprised of two rounds. Tanya Gupta of class 11 demonstrated the usage of Mathematics in the Global Positioning System competing in the event, Symposium. She was awarded a certificate of appreciation for her work.
